Service Description: Services to vulnerable children and families and investigates allegations of child abuse or neglect under the Child and Youth Family Services Act

Intake and Ongoing Services - Investigates complaints and assesses functioning * intervention, including short-term treatment to children and families * protects children through bringing them into foster care if required and through Orders of the local family court

Kinship Service - Joint program with the Ministry of Children and Youth Services * kinship families offer their home for a child on an immediate, short term or long term basis with the child remaining in the home until the parent is able to have the child safely return to them

Foster Care - Temporary placement of children to provide parental relief if no other family services are available * short and long term placement of children in foster homes and group homes, usually as a result of a Court Order for the protection of children * assessment, counselling and preparation for independent living * referral for psychological, psychiatric, educational and other professional services

Adoption Services - Permanent homes for children through adoption and also provides placement for children not legally adoptable but who require long-term care

Volunteer Services - Provides assistance to children and families including transportation to visits with parents, medical appointments, supervised access and Family Resource Worker visits * volunteers provide support to agency workers, families and foster families

Adult Protective Services of Grey and Bruce Counties - Case management for adults 18 years and over who have a developmental challenge
