Service Description: Helps find sustainable employment * assessment of skills, capabilities, interests and experience * job search strategies, including resume preparation * information about different careers and occupations, the local labour market, employment and training opportunities * on-the-job training and/or work experience and, in some cases, additional support to help maintain employment * information about all Employment Ontario programs and services * access to Second Career program to provide laid-off workers with skills training for high-demand occupations * information about, and referral to, other community services and supports

Incorporates services previously provided through Job Connect, Employment Assistance Services (EAS), Employment Resource Centres and other programs

Youth Job Connection (YJC) - employment program for youth 15-29 years who experience multiple and/or complex barriers to employment * focus is on those facing challenging life circumstances and at risk of poor transitions between education and work * provides more intensive supports beyond job search and placement opportunities such as:
•paid pre-employment training to promote job-readiness
•job matching and paid job placements with supports for participants and incentives for employers
•mentorship services
•education and work transition supports

YJC has two components:
•year-round provision of intensive employment supports
•summer job opportunities and part-time school year placements to help 15-18 year olds make positive educational and career choices

Fees: Free * fee for some services
Application: Drop-in for most services

Employment Planning and Preparation (EPP) and Job Development and Placement Support (JDPS) - Persons 16 years and older, out of school and out of work, and not receiving Employment Insurance benefits Information and Resource Service (IRS) - Walk-in community resource for anyone seeking employment and/or training
