Service Description:

Employment services tailored to meet personal needs and includes employment consulting and planning, job search support and workshops, career explorations and formal vocational assessment
Employment Resource Centre - Job postings * resources (e.g. computers, internet, telephones, faxes, photocopiers, job banks and printed materials) * support, information and referral including information on access to apprenticeships
Adult & Youth Employment Programs - Access to workshops (resume, job search, interviews) and information sessions, including career exploration (e.g., JVIS, MBTI safety training), and referral to Second Career Program/other programs as appropriate * available to all Employment Insurance eligible youth and all adults * recruitment services and training incentives available for employers * access point for Canada-Ontario Job Grant * Youth Job Connection
Second Career - Support for people who have been laid off or are unemployed to pursue skills training as a means to finding employment in occupations with demonstrated labour market prospects * eligibility for this program can be discussed with an Employment Consultant
Youth Job Links (YJL) - provides students with work experience during the summer months and incentives to employers to hire students
Youth Job Connection (YJC) and Youth Job Connections Summer (YJCS) - provides intensive support and training for youth 15-29 who are not working, in school or in training through paid pre-employment workshops, job placement and mentorship and help transitioning to further education or employment

Eligibility / Target Population:

Employment Planning and Preparation (EEP) and Job Development and Placement Support (JDPS) - Youth 16 to 24 years, out of school and out of work, and not receiving Employment Insurance benefits
Summer Jobs Service (SJS) - Students 15 to 24 years (up to 29, for persons with disabilities) may register * students must be planning on returning to school in the Fall * student must be a resident of Ontario and eligible to work in Canada
