Basic income protection and re-employment benefits program offered to unemployed workers * claimants are unemployed workers who meet eligibility criteria, such as those experiencing an interruption of earnings due to shortage of work, layoff, illness or injury, compassionate care leave, pregnancy, adoption and parental leave
